Native American World was born out of a deep respect for what we know about Native American culture. As the saying goes, Christopher Columbus did not “discover” America; he invaded it. The First Nations Tribes were people on this continent long before Columbus who had – and who still do have – a vibrant, strong culture, and who walked in many ways in far more close touch with the natural world than modern man does or is ever likely to do.
On Native American World you will find information about Native American events, Native American artisans, legends and stories, information about the use of herbs by First Nations Peoples, and much more. We are particularly interested in information submitted by or about Native Americans and their current activities and concerns.
There is a wealth of wisdom and knowledge held by the First Nations; if this site can contribute in some way to helping even one person become more aware of that fact, it will then have accomplished its aim.
